Suncorp Insurance Apps for Just Car

Just Car Insurance is an automotive insurer aimed at young drivers, modified, high performance and imported cars. JCI is a subsidiary of Suncorp, Australia's largest general insurance group. The Just Car brand was present on a variety of channels: full web site, Facebook, YouTube and an iPhone app called iClaim. However, a growing number of users were utilizing mobile browsers to access to full web site, a platform that was not optimized for browsing and discovery of mobile friendly features.

Using IMPS, New Media Innovation created a Just Car mobile presence with the following features:

  • A mobile browser detector on the full site that redirected handsets to m.justcarinsurance.com.
  • Links to the mobile versions of Just Car's YouTube and Facebook channels.
  • An email link plus, an email form for phones without email.
  • Click to call links, formatted for the handset.
  • Handy instructions for lodging a claim or paying a bill.
  • A link to the iClaim app (that only appears on iPhone handsets).


    • This provided Just Car with another channel to promote their brand and a portal to other social channels like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube not to mention their existing iClaim app. The Mobile apps also provided FAQ to help customers short circuit the requirement to contact call centres for basic questions.
